Tyger is a state-of-the-art wideband satellite modulator fully compliance with the DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X standards. Tyger modulator covers the full L-Band range (950/2150 MHz) and offers bit rate from 1 Mbps up to 2.4 Gbps with a Symbol Rate from 1 MBauds to 480 MBauds.

Tyger, with its 8 ASI and its 4x1GigE ports and 2x10GigE ports as inputs, offers a diversity of input formats as MPEG-TS over ASI, Ethernet and IP Datagram over MPE and GSE-Lite. Tyger allows applications such as high speed data link with or without the Annex M and multistream configuration with up to 8 ISI possible. All of these setups are compliant with DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X standards.

Due to the RF wideband signal (up to 500MHz), Static Linear and Non Linear Pre-correction tool(s) could be required and are available on Tyger. So TYGER is a wideband modulator for Very High Data Rate (VHDR) applications


Tyger has been designed to meet all ETSI EN 302 307 requirements: part I for DVB-S2 and part II for DVB-S2X. All modes of bit rate adaption are possible: PCR adaptation, Padding insertion and Dummy BBFrame insertion – resulting in Tyger’s unique automatic flexible rate adaptation. An internal PRBS generator can be used to generate a RF spectrum without any valid signal input. Tyger offers a local redundancy available between these different input formats.

Tyger is based on one future proof hardware available today on the market which allows performing high quality modulation based on TEAMCAST expertise, and allows future standard evolutions. It provides customers with a best in class performance, providing a high SNR value, excellent shoulder levels and lowest phase noise. Tyger provides a high performance channel spectrum and in addition to the standard, roll off from 5 to 35% by step of 1%.
